Virus & Malware Removal, Done in Person
Scary pop-ups and fake warnings are designed to rattle you. We come to your home or business, clear out viruses and malware by hand, and leave your computer clean and running properly.
Same-day or next-day visits are often available, Monday through Saturday. Se habla español.
Signs Something's Wrong
Malware doesn’t always announce itself. These are some of the common signs.
- A pop-up says your computer is infected and tells you to call a number
- Your browser opens pages you didn't ask for
- New toolbars, icons, or programs you don't remember installing
- A computer that suddenly turned slow
- Friends mention strange emails that came from you
- Security warnings that won't go away
How We Clean It Up
1. We find what got in
Your tech goes through the programs, browser, and startup items by hand, along with a thorough scan, to see exactly what’s on the computer.
2. We remove it
Malware, adware, and unwanted programs come off, and your browser’s home page and search settings go back to normal.
3. We make sure it's gone
Before we leave, we confirm the computer runs cleanly, and your tech shares safe browsing habits and a few tips to stay safe online.
Good to Know
If you already called the number
Some pop-ups push people into calling and letting a stranger onto their computer. If that happened, don’t feel silly. It happens to careful people. Book a visit, and we’ll check the computer and clean out anything that was left behind.
Who it's for
Anyone dealing with pop-ups or a computer that changed overnight, and adult children who just got a worried call from Mom or Dad. Visits are in English or Spanish.
What It Costs
Visits are $80 for the first hour, with a one-hour minimum, then $40 for each additional 30 minutes. Parts aren’t included and are quoted separately. A malware cleanup is billed by the time it takes, like any other visit, and it’s often done in a single visit.
No trip fee anywhere in Marion, Citrus & Sumter Counties, and anywhere in The Villages.
Payment is due at the end of the visit. We take cash and any credit or debit card. Returning clients can also pay by check, and your technician may accept Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo when available.
Common Questions
Can you remove a virus without wiping my computer?
Usually, yes. Most infections can be cleaned out with your files and programs left in place. If the system is too damaged, we’ll explain a clean Windows reinstall before doing anything.
Will I lose my photos and documents?
Your files normally stay right where they are during a cleanup. If a reinstall turns out to be the better fix, we’ll talk about saving and moving your files first.
Do you work on computers hit by a scam pop-up?
Yes. Scam pop-ups are a common reason people call us. We’ll remove whatever was installed and get the browser back to normal.
How did my computer get a virus?
Usually through an email attachment, a fake download button, or a website that pushes a fake warning. Your tech will go over safe browsing habits during the visit so it’s less likely to happen again.
