Data Recovery & Transfer for Your Photos and Files
Years of family photos, important documents, and email are worth protecting. We recover files from computers that won’t start and move your data safely to a new machine, right at your home or business.
Same-day or next-day visits are often available, Monday through Saturday. Se habla español.
When You Need Us
Data jobs usually come down to one of these.
- Your old computer died, and the photos are still on it
- You bought a new computer and need everything moved over
- Files or folders seem to have disappeared
- You want your email, contacts, and bookmarks on the new machine
- A drive is making noises, or the computer won't boot
- You'd like an automatic backup set up before something goes wrong
How We Handle Your Data
1. We look at the drive
Your tech checks the old computer or drive and tells you what’s realistic. What can be recovered depends on the condition of the drive.
2. We move what matters
Photos, documents, music, email, bookmarks, and other files go to your new computer or another drive, organized so you can find them.
3. You check it with us
Before we leave, we open your files together on the new computer, so you can see your photos and documents are there.
Good to Know
A note on failing drives
Drives that click, grind, or don’t show up at all may have physical damage. We’ll recover what the drive allows and tell you honestly if something can’t be reached.
Backups, going forward
Once your files are safe, we can set up an automatic backup as a one-time service. Keeping an eye on it after that is up to you, and your tech will point out where to look.
What It Costs
Visits are $80 for the first hour, with a one-hour minimum, then $40 for each additional 30 minutes. Parts aren’t included and are quoted separately. Data jobs are billed by the time they take, which depends mostly on how much data there is and the drive’s condition.
No trip fee anywhere in Marion, Citrus & Sumter Counties, and anywhere in The Villages.
Payment is due at the end of the visit. We take cash and any credit or debit card. Returning clients can also pay by check, and your technician may accept Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo when available.
Common Questions
Can you get photos off a computer that won't turn on?
Often, yes. If the drive itself still works, we can usually pull the files off and move them to your new computer. Results depend on the condition of the drive.
Do you move email too?
Yes. We move email, contacts, and bookmarks along with your files, as long as you have the sign-in details for your email account.
Do I need to buy anything for the transfer?
Not usually. If you’d like a backup drive or a replacement drive, we’ll tell you the price before anything is ordered.
Is my private information safe during the visit?
Yes. We open files only as far as the job needs, and we don’t keep copies of your data once the transfer is done.
