How the Visit Goes

1. We plan it with you

Your tech looks at what you have, where it should go, and how well your Wi-Fi reaches those spots.

2. We set up and connect

Each device gets configured through its app, connected to your network, and signed in to your accounts, with you there to choose the settings.

3. We make sure it works

Before we leave, we try each device with you, so you know how to start a show or ask the speaker a question.

Starlink: setup and configuration

Rural properties around Dunnellon and in parts of Citrus County often have limited internet options. Once the dish is mounted, we connect the Starlink router, set up your network and any mesh units, and connect your computers, devices, and printers.

Smart devices: setup, not installation

We set up smart plugs, speakers, streaming devices, and the doorbells or cameras you already own and have installed, all through their apps. Plug-in smart bulbs are fine; hardwired switches and ceiling fans need an electrician.

Work We Don't Do

Onsitech Computers LLC does not sell or install security cameras or alarm systems, and does not do any drilling, wall mounting (including TVs), or structural wiring behind walls or through conduits. Requests for that work will be declined. Mounting, in-wall wiring, and anything that needs an electrician or handyman must be done before the visit. We set up and configure devices that are already installed.

What It Costs

Visits are $80 for the first hour, with a one-hour minimum, then $40 for each additional 30 minutes. Parts aren’t included and are quoted separately. Setup visits are billed by the time they take, and equipment isn’t included.

No trip fee anywhere in Marion, Citrus & Sumter Counties, and anywhere in The Villages.

Payment is due at the end of the visit. We take cash and any credit or debit card. Returning clients can also pay by check, and your technician may accept Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo when available.

Common Questions

Yes, the configuration and setup. We connect the Starlink router, set up your network and mesh units, and connect your devices and printers. The dish needs to be mounted and any wiring run before we arrive.

Yes. We connect them to Wi-Fi, sign in to your streaming accounts, and make sure you can find what you like to watch.

In most cases, yes. We’ll connect the speaker, link the compatible devices you have, and try out a few voice commands with you.

No. We don’t sell or install security cameras, and we don’t drill, mount devices or TVs, or do electrical or structural work, such as hardwired switches or ceiling fans. Once your doorbell or camera is installed, we’ll set it up in its app and connect it to everything else.

It’s best to have it on hand. If you’re not sure what to get, mention what you’d like to do when you book, and we’ll let you know what fits.
